Last Saturday saw the last of The Voice Auditions, this week the Battles commence but who will survive the culling?
Unfortunately there is only one person I remember throughout all the auditions and that's Kevin Simm a former member of Liberty X.
The 35 year old from Chorley, Lancs wowed all four coaches with his rendition of Sia's Chandelier. He equally won over the audience who gave a standing ovation and obviously stirred up the general public as he stormed in to poll position on bookies odds
There appears to be a distinct lack of diversity on The Voice this year with coaches Will I am, Paloma Faith, Boy George and Ricky Wilson neglecting to select anything that wasn't pop based in to the battle rounds.
We witnessed a few brilliant show, operatic and Jazz voices but none made it in to the next stage of The Voice. I fear the rest of the competition will be deemed bland and uninteresting.
The Battles round will see half the contestants put out to pasture while the other half left to think they could have a chance at winning The Voice 2016. The general public will not have a say in who goes and who stays.
Paloma Faith and Boy George have really stirred things up this year. Both out spoken, both wanting to be heard and both very obviously competitive. Do either of them have a chance of being the winning coach? You would believe with Paloma getting Kevin Simm on her team, she would be bookies favourite for the win but as it stands, Ricky is predicted as being the winner.
Maybe will will get a better idea after the Battle rounds.
