After Gareth’s unfortunate elimination from the 2013 Dancing on Ice competition Luke Campbell found himself in the DOI final by default. The voting public relegated both Gareth Thomas and Luke to the DOI semi final but as Gareth was too ill to skate, the judges had no alternative than to send Gareth home.
The Dancing on Ice final will be televised live this Sunday, 10th March so Matt Lapinskas, Beth Tweddle and Luke Campbell will all be performing two dances as well as the Bolero if they make it into the top two.
The finalist will also perform a group skate dance which will welcome back Gareth Thomas on to the ice. I’m pretty sure Gareth will get a rousing welcome as many fans of the show believe he was robbed of his place in the Dancing on Ice final.
It’s pretty safe to say that Luke Campbell will not be crowned the 2013 DOI champion as he is in the final by default. Dancing on Ice final odds also back this theory giving Luke Campbell odds of 25/1 for the win.
Matt Lapinskas odds and Beth Tweddle odds stand neck n’ neck at 10/11 making the final very interesting viewing. DOI judge Jason Gardiner has commented on Beth’s wooden performance on a couple of occasions claiming she seems dead behind the eye’s but her second performance in the DOI semi final shut him up.
Matt on the other hand impressed Jason with what he called the best ‘flying’ performance he had ever witnessed a man doing for Dancing on Ice but Jason is just one of four DOI judges. When it comes down to the wire, it is the public who will say is their Dancing on Ice 2013 champ.
