At the weekend Strictly Come Dancing went all spooky with their Halloween special. The staging, outfits and makeup were as usual superb and some celebrities were eerily good while others were more ‘bump in the night’.
Michael Vaughan with partner Natalie Lowe stunned and shocked the Strictly Judges and audience alike with his foot perfect Foxtrot. Strictly Judges were gob smacked, literally, and allocated Michael a staggering 31 points, up 12 from last week and joint second on the Strictly leader board. Victoria Pendleton also rose 9 points from her leader board position last weekend with her Tango White Wedding.
Unfortunately Sid Owen did not impress with his wooden Ghost Buster Cha Cha Cha and found himself with just 17 points, the same as last weekend and in the Strictly dance-off. Sid joined Colin Salmon who’s Strictly judges scores were better than Fern Britton and Richard Arnold but the public obviously weren’t behind him.
Both Sid Owen and Colin Salmon improved in the dance-off but somebody had to be eliminated. Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussel and Bruno Tonioli all agreed that Sid should leave the Strictly competition. Len Goodman said he would have sent Colin Salmon home as he had made the same big mistake in his performance and the Strictly dance-off and that was unforgivable.
So Sid Owen leaves Strictly Come Dancing 2012 but Colin stays to dance another week.
