of Cyprus will be aiming to bounce back from a shock loss in the 1st round of the ATP Masters 1000 event in Shanghai China.
The Cypriot was beaten in the opening round by the talented Frenchman Jeremy Chardy he also lost to Chardy earlier in the summer in the ATP Masters 1000 event in Toronto.
Baghdatis had reached the final of the ATP 500 event in Washington DC this summer but he lost in straight sets to the Argentine David Nalbandian.
He then reached the Semi Finals of the ATP Masters 1000 event in Cincinnati Ohio beating the world number 1 Rafael Nadal in the Quarter Finals before losing in the semi final to the eventual champion Roger Federer in the straight sets.
Nadal bounced back at the US Open however he won the title for the 1st time in his career to complete the career Grand Slam.
