the Czech Republic will be looking to repeat the best win of his career this week at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Rome.
2 years ago Stepanek enjoyed the best win of his career when he managed to upset the world number 1 Roger Federer with a straight sets 7-6 7-6 victory.
Stepanek went on to lose in the Semi Final to Novak Djokovic who duly won his 1st title in Rome with a hard fought 3 set victory over Stanislas Wawrinka.
Stepanek will be hoping that he can build on this performance and perhaps win the 1st Masters 1000 event of his career this week.
For this to happen the Czech player will be to be at his best however as the world number 3 Rafael Nadal appears to be the player to beat at the moment on clay once again and he will be the favourite in Rome.
