World Number 3 Rafael Nadal will be aiming to regain the Mens French Open 2010
title when the tournament gets underway in a few weeks time.
Nadal won the tournament 4 years running between 2005 and 2008 however a knee injury hampered him last year and he suffered a shock 4th round defeat in 4 sets to Robin Soderling of Sweden.
Nadal’s shock early exit allowed Roger Federer to break through and win the tournament for the 1st time in his career.
The Spaniard however appears to be back to some of his best form he won the ATP Masters 1000 title in Monte Carlo two weeks ago and is the favourite to win again in Rome this week.
Nadal has so far won 6 Grand Slam titles in his career, but he has not won a major since he won the Australian Open last year in Melbourne when he beat Federer in 5 sets.
